An evening with the Editors
SubZero/Wolf just opened a new showroom in the A&D (Architect’s & Designer’s) Building on 58th Street in New York. It’s one of the most beautiful showrooms I’ve seen. All of SubZero and Wolf’s newest products are there of course, but the vignettes are the real show stoppers.
Bill Draper of Draper DBS, a custom cabinetry manufacturer in Perkasie, PA and a North Star Public Relations client, designed the main vignette and reception area as you walk into the showroom. His juxtaposition of materials – including different types of glass, exotic woods, nickel, marble, leather and shell - is a symphony for the eyes.
On November 27, the Tuesday before the showroom was opened to the public, there was a media preview. The evening was replete with a press conference, sumptuous hors d’oeuvres, demonstrations from SubZero/Wolf’s chefs, a string quartet and loads of oooh’s and aaaah’s over the appliances and Draper-designed and manufactured cabinetry.
Of course, North Star was there to meet and greet the editors. Just a few of the folks I chatted with: Katherine Nelson from Metropolitan Home, Alison Hall from Elle Décor, Claudia Miyar from O at Home, Edward Ross from Martha Stewart Living, Wendy Manwarren from HOME, Victoria von Biel from Bon Appétit, and Sonal Dutt from EveryDay with Rachel Ray. Oh, and Robert Verdi, TV personality and style expert, stopped by too.

I spent the evening talking with the editors from many media outlets - consumer, trade and B2B - about Draper DBS. I’d love to share the news about your products as well. Drop me a line and let’s talk about getting some buzz started for you, 717-392-6982, ext. 109 or mapiccirillo@northstar-m.com.
Ciao,
Mary Anne Piccirillo
Public Relations Director
P.S. If you’re ever in the area of the A&D Building, 150 E. 5th Street between Lexington and 3rd, stop by and take a look around. The SubZero/Wolf showroom is on the 5th floor.
